Wayne Howard Hollingsworth, age 60, died at his residence Friday, August 10, 2012. \nHe was the son of Howard and Norma (Lettington) Hollingsworth. He grew up in Indianola; the last to be born at the Indianola Hospital, served two tours of duty in Vietnam, and had lived in Missouri before coming back to Iowa.\nA memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Peterson Funeral Home followed by military honors at 6:50 p.m. and Memorial funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial of his cremains will be in the Iowa Veterans cemetery in Van Meter at 2 p.m. Friday.\nSurviving are his children, Danyel (Caleb) Wilson and Joshua Hollingsworth; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Marcy (Craig) Cooke, David (Lori) Hollingsworth, Holly (Rick) Estell, Diann (Steve) Wilson, John (Betty) Hollingsworth and Mikel Hollingsworth; his uncle, Roger Higgens; several nieces and nephews and many friends. \nPreceding in death were his parents; a daughter, Angela Cook; and a infant son, Dustin. \nOnline condolences can be sent to www.petersonfunerals.com.
