Teresa Bugge

With profound sorrow, we announce the departure of our beloved Teresa Bugge, who left us on March 7, 2024. Born on August 22, 1948, in Vermillion, South Dakota, Teresa spent the majority of her life in Carlisle, Iowa, where she touched the lives of everyone she met with her funny, loving and witty nature.

Teresa was a dedicated wife to her late husband, Jerry Bugge, whom she married on April 18, 1970. She was a devoted food service worker at FISS', a job that allowed her to bring her nurturing nature to the community. Her retirement years were filled with her favorite hobbies which included polka dancing, crafting, shopping, and camping. She was an active member of the Polka Club of Iowa and was proud of her achievement as a devoted wife and stay-at-home mom. Teresa always had a knack for making any situation humorous with her quick wit.

Teresa is survived by her sons, Kevin (Amber) Bugge and Andrew Bugge; her granddaughters Kaitlynn, Madyson, Olivia, Regan and Alessa Bugge; her grandson Damien Bugge; her great-grandson Zyair Lee; and her sisters Jean Amundson (and family) and Karen Naasz (and family). She was preceded in death by her parents, Israel Girard and Regina Lambert, and her husband, Jerry Bugge.

The viewing will be held at Peterson Funeral Home, 415 School Street, Carlisle, Iowa, 50047 on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 10:00 am CDT. The memorial service will follow at the same location at 12:00 pm CDT, with a luncheon to follow at 1:00 pm CDT.
