Steven Wayne Broich was born October 3,1957 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Throughout his life he lived in Iowa, Ohio, Illinois, and Arizona. He enjoyed traveling, karaoke, bowling, crafts, music, and movies. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes and going to Iowa Cubs baseball games. He always had a smile on his face and never forgot a name. Steven was a friendly and joyful man with love of travel. Steven was doing what he loved, vacationing in Florida at the time of his death. He truly loved Disneyland and Disneyworld, where he visited numerous times. His favorite ride was "It's a Small World". Mosaic had the privilege of serving Steven since 2015; first at HCBS Milton home, and most recently in Mosaic at Home. Steven moved in with the Nissen family in October of 2017 and instantly became part of the family. He enjoyed family movie night, karaoke, baseball games, bowling with friends, bonfires, and barbeques. Steven enjoyed cooking and playing board games as well. He had a love for all animals and took pride in feeding and caring for the family pets; Paris the Dog and Chase the Cat. Steven has touched the lives of everyone in the Nissen family and had a special bond with each of them that will never be forgotten. \nSteven is survived by his brothers; Rick and John Broich. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, IA. Steven will be laid to rest in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
