Simon Stanfield

Simon J. Stanfield was born on December 11, 1940 in New York City, New York. He passed away on August 7th at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He became an Indianola resident in September of 1970, where he soon became a husband to Kathi McClintic. They became parents to two sons, Brian and Peter.

Simon worked a number of jobs, including; the Don Porter Corporation and 15 years at Cemen Tech as a salesman, which allowed him to travel the country, often accompanied by his wife Kathi.

He became known around the area as a talented guitarist and was included as part of Jim Johnson's Blue Grass Tuesday Warren County Music Legends.

Simon is survived by his wife Kathi, Sons Brian and Peter (Kathy), and their terrific little grandson Arden.

Public visitation will be held Wednesday August 9th at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola.

An informal pot luck and music jam celebration will be held Thursday August 10th at the Warren County Historical Museum, beginning at 12:00pm.
