Shannesy Rebhuhn

Shannesy Ann Rebhuhn passed away on September 8, 2022 in Carlisle, Iowa. A visitation will be held at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle from 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Shannesy was a very private person. To honor her wishes, it is asked that only family and close friends attend. A private funeral service will be held at Christian Life Assembly of God in Des Moines. Interment will take place at Carlisle City Cemetery.Shannesy was born on March 23, 2005 in Des Moines, Iowa to Eric and Tammy (Thorn) Rebhuhn. Anyone who knew Shannesy could speak for her love and compassion for her family and friends. She had a big heart that compelled her to advocate for anyone who was in need. Working at the Carlisle Care Center, Shannesy was always making sure the residents were comfortable, well cared for, and had everything they needed. She also loved animals, especially her cats SoSo, Kuni, and Pouncer as well as her dog Groot. Shannesy loved so many simple things in life, whether it was a beautiful ocean view, pretty cacti, skateboarding, or a unique piece of art. She was a talented artist who loved to draw and paint. She also loved singing and had a beautiful voice. Her greatest joy was her sister, Xzavia, whom she loved dearly. Shannesy lived her life with compassion and love for those around her. She will be greatly missed by so many lives she touched in her time on Earth.Shannesy is survived by her parents, Tammy Rebhuhn and Eric ( Andrea) Rebhuhn; sister, Xzavia Rebhuhn; grandpa, Don Hargrave; grandmothers, Charlotte Thorn, and Jeanette Mallette; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Shannesy was preceded in death by her grandma, Sharon Hargrave; grandpsa, Nick Thorn and John Russell; uncle, David Thorn; great-grandparents, Betty Campbell, Skeet Edgett, and Chuck Edgett.Memorials in Shannesy's name can be made to the family.
