Ruben F. Parrish, age 90, passed away on May 16, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA.

Funeral services for Ruben are at 1 p.m. Thursday May 20 at the Chapel of Faith Church in Indianola with visitation on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola.

Ruben served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a P.O.W. He also worked for Butler 66 Station and Warren County Oil.

Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

Ruben is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Richard) Pace of Des Moines; son-in- law, Rex Leanhart; six grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; 13 great- great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Putz and Bonnie Stills; and brother, Gaylord.

Ruben was preceded in death by his wife, Martha; daughter, Betty Jo Leanhart; sisters, Elizabeth Clark, Fairie Clark; brothers, Orn and Russell Parrish.
