Ronald Parker

Ronald Eugene Parker passed away on May 11, 2026, in Indianola, Iowa. Ronald was born on April 22, 1943, to Robert and Evelyn (Clark) Parker.

He worked many years in heavy highway construction and cement finisher. He loved drinking Schlitz beer, smoking his Camel none filter cigarettes, as well as fishing & hunting. He enjoyed working on cars and seeing his kid's and grandkid. There was always Star Bars (ice cream) & pop in the frig and candy for all. He was known for his Beef and Noodles, Chile, Goulash, & Spaghetti. When the Spaghetti got low it became chili with spaghetti-noodles. He loved to play pitch and that could be an all night affair. He had a joke that would turn into a story a mile long.

Ronald is survived by 4 boys; Eugene & Lezli Parker of New Virginia, Iowa, Ronnie Parker of Indianola, Iowa, Robert & Darcey Parker of Des Moines, Iowa: Paul & Lyn Parker Anderson of South Carolina; 2 sisters, Roberta Sease of Des Moines, Iowa, and Judy Haley of Des Moines, Iowa; 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends that we can't count.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Evelyn Parker; wife, Glennore Parker; son, Edward Parker; siblings, Ricky Parker and Marilyn Parker Hutchinson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Eugene & Lezli Parkers home on May 16, 2026 (20967 60th Ave, New Virginia, IA. 50210). A Private family interment will take place in the Winterset Cemetery.
