Robert J. Hillock (Bob) 80 years old of Carlisle, IA passed peacefully at Taylor House in Des Moines, IA on Friday February 19th, 2016 to join his son, Kris Allan Hillock. \nBob was born on March 14th, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, IA and recently celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary. Bob had been retired from the FAA since 2000 but had continued working at Menards part time for the last 12 years. \nSurvived by his wife; Ruth Hillock of Carlisle, Daughter's; Karol Hillock and Tracy Rector (Richard Rector) also of Carlisle, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and one brother Richard Hillock. \nDad, Grandpa & Pa Pa...........you will be greatly missed, you will forever live on in our hearts and through the life lessons you have taught us all! We love you! \n\nWhen tomorrow starts without me, \nand I'm not here to see, \nIf the sun should rise and find your \neyes, filled with tears for me.\n\nI wish so much you wouldn't cry, \nthe way you did today, \nwhile thinking of the many things \nwe did or didn't get to say.\n\nI know how much you love me, \nas much as I love you, \nand each time you think of me, \nI know you'll miss me too. \n\nWhen tomorrow starts without me, \ndon't think we're far apart, \nfor every time you think of me, \nI'm right there in your heart. \n\nNo service or viewing will be held, the family will be laying his ashes to rest with his son in the spring. \nDonations are welcome in memory of Robert J.
