Robert "Bob" Headley

Robert "Bob" Headley of Avon, Iowa, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
A visitation for Bob will be held from 4:00-7:00 Friday, November 30, 2018 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A celebration of life will be from 1:00-4:00 pm, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Avon Community Clubhouse.
Bob was born on November 13, 1945 in Ottumwa, Iowa to William and Margaret (Belgar) Headley.
Bob is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sally of Avon; children, Rich Pentico of Norwalk, Katie(Steve Redmond Sr.)Smolnik of Carlisle, Kyle(J.R. Flatt) of Pueblo, Colorado, Bill(Laura)Headley of Germany, and Amy(Greg)Hixenbaugh of Carlisle; sister, Sherry(John)Middleton of Indianola; 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 3 infant siblings and other loved ones.
Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his kids, grandkids and great grandkids growing up. He was a lifetime member of the million dollar round table of the Life Insurance Institute. He was proud of the flowers and gardens he grew in the yard. Bob was a president and a board member for several years of the Clearwater Lake Association. He loved watching the wildlife and enjoying the views and seasons of the lake.
