Patricia Ann (VerPloegh) Stump, age 78, passed away Friday July 17, at Taylor House Hospice surrounded by family. Pat is survived by her husband, Bobby H Stump; sons, Robert (Sanda) of Chariton and Kirk (Jeanne) Stump of Des Moines; daughter, Vicki (Ted) Oswald of North English; grandchildren, Melissa Wasinger, Nathaniel (Jesse) Oswald, Rebecca (Jere) Hall, Jediah (Stacey) Stump, Jacob Stump, Kelsey (Phil) Maxiner, and Gabriel Stump; great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Slater and Kristen Oswald and Jada Stump.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2009, at Carlisle United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, also at the church. Following services, Patricia's body will be donated to Des Moines University. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carlisle United Methodist Church, Muscular Dystrophy Association or Kiwanis Miracle League at Principal Park for Down Syndrome.
