Norma Pegram-Kliment

Norma M. Pegram-Kliment , age 94 of Carlisle passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Via of Carlisle nursing home in Carlisle, after a long battle with dementia, with her daughter Sheila and son Ron by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle. Family will greet friends an hour ahead of services. Burial will follow services in the Carlisle Township Cemetery. Light luncheon to follow at the church.
Norma was born on January 9, 1929 in Lacona, Iowa to Joseph and Nora (Bauer)Walk. She grew up and helped on the family farm near Lacona. Norma graduated in 1947 from Lacona High School. She received a 2 year teaching degree from Simpson College in Indianola and taught 5th grade in Carlisle.
Norma married Rex Pegram on July 22, 1950 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Lacona. Norma worked as an office manager/bookkeeper in the Des Moines area most of her life. Norma loved living at her various lake properties. When she retired, she continued to enjoy bowling, dancing and traveling. Norma was proud of her legacy of 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Norma is survived by her daughter Sheila(Marcel)Kramer of Crofton, Nebraska; sons, Roger of Fort Madison, Randy of Carlisle and Ron(Jenny) of Ankeny; 6 grandchildren, Nicole(Preston) Renshaw of Sioux Falls, SD, Chad(Shane)Kramer of Sioux Falls, SD, Jared(Darcey)Kramer of St. Paul, NE, Brett(Janel)Kramer of Wayne, NE, Reed(Hattie)Pegram of Lees Summit,Mo, and Ryder Pegram of Ankeny and 13 great grandchildren, Norma was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Rex, second husband John Kliment; 3 brothers, John, Wayne and Marvin, and a sister, Maxine.
