Norma Jean Lund

Norma Jean Lund passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, in Granger, Iowa. A funeral service for Norma will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the First Congregational Church in Aurelia, Iowa. A visitation will start prior to services at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow services in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Aurelia.

Norma was born on October 21, 1938, to James and Opal (Helmer) Palmer.
Norma Jean was a compassionate, loving, kind mom, friend, grandmother, and great
grandmother. Norma loved all of her grandchildren and enjoyed taking trips and getting ice
cream on warm summer days with them. She loved the Lord and read her bible with joy and was excited to learn what the Word of the Lord said. She prayed for her family, friends and strangers with love.

Norma Jean was an avid coffee drinker and enjoyed her sweets! Baking was her passion
especially olive nut bread and cherry polasta. She was a banker for 40 plus years.
Upon going to the Granger Nursing Home, she became quite social and became the champion Bingo winner! She made so many friends throughout her life and was such a joy to all who knew her.

Norma was survived by Karen and Calvin Dean, Robert and Eileen Wilson, Grandchildren
Brandon and Debbie Dean, Ryan Wilson and great grandchildren Jonathan, Lydia and Bethany Dean.

Norma was preceded in death by husbands John Wilson and Ted Lund, and granddaughter
Megan Dean.

Memorials can be directed to the Des Moines Animal Rescue league on behalf of her cat Polly.
