Nancy Ann Moore, 89, went home to Jesus on Wednesday September 20th, 2023 at Prairie Vista Village in Altoona, Iowa. Born in a log cabin in Des Moines, IA, she had been a long time Runnells resident and an active member of the Runnells Christian Church. Throughout her life, Nancy held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Nancy joins her beloved parents Fred and Dorothy Houseman, cherished daughter Shelia McKeever, former husband and father of her children William Still, adoring husband Joe Moore, and best friend Delores Claire in Heaven. Nancy is survived by children Rick Still, Jill Kulhanek, and Michael (Becky) Still; and grandchildren Shannon (Angela) Engman, and Nichole (Mark) Walters whom she raised as her own children. She is also survived by an additional three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.\n\nThough she has been taken from this world, her loving heart left a beacon of light for all who cared for her.\n\n“Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted” – Matthew 5:4\n\n The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Prairie Vista Village for their loving dedication and care of Nancy during the course of her 7 year residency, and to the staff of Suncrest Hospice for tending to her in her final days.\n\nFriends and family may attend visitation at the Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle on Tuesday September 26th at 10:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held directly afterwards at 11:00 A.M. \n\nPeterson Funeral Home, 415 School St., Carlisle, Iowa. Interment will take place at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells.
