It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Connie Sue Sheeder, who departed this life on October 6, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on March 6, 1942, in Swan, Iowa, she was a compassionate, loving, and loyal woman. Her selfless devotion to her family and deep love for the Lord were the hallmarks of her existence. \n\nA devoted mother, Connie was known for her beautiful spirit, her love for animals and nature, and her kind, gentle heart. Her children fondly remember the sweet aroma of her homemade cookies, breads, and candies at Christmas time, the hours she spent cultivating her garden and flowers, and how she always made certain they felt loved. \n\nHer professional journey began as a typist for American Abstract, and she later served many well-known lawyers as a legal secretary. Her diligence, integrity, and commitment to her work were highly valued by all who had the privilege to work with her.\n\nThrough her work as a florist, she brought beauty and joy to many lives. She was deeply loved and respected by her family, friends, and colleagues. What mattered most to Connie was her family, and her beloved husband Denny. Her legacy of love, dedication, and faith will continue to inspire those who were touched by her life. \n\nConnie is survived by her loving husband Denny Sheeder, sons Troy (Julie) Sheeder of Ankeny, IA, Matt(Trina) Sheeder of New Virginia, IA, and daughter Tiffany Sheeder of Alexandria, MN, grandchildren Emily, Jake, Andrew, Kaylynn, Shawn and Jack, and sister in-law Lucy Clark. \n\nShe was preceded in death by her parents Ellsworth and Leta (Townsley) Clark, siblings Lois Campbell and Herman Clark, and in-laws Charlene (Bart) Perrigo, and Judy (Ted) Tucker. \n\nThe public visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 5-8 pm at 602 East Salem Avenue, Indianola, Iowa, 50125.
