Mildred Dennis

Mildred Irene Dennis passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023, at Windsor Manor in Indianola. Funeral services for Mildred will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola. A visitation will begin at 10:00am prior to the service. Mildred will be inurned next to her husband Ray in Mitchellville at a later date.
Mildred was born in Clarke County, Iowa on November 23, 1938, to Hinton and Hazel (Crawford) McCullough. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. In her younger days, she worked as a waitress at the Des Moines Airport. Mildred retired from Wallace Homestead Publishing where she truly enjoyed working. Mildred loved to travel with her family. Mildred and Ray were snowbirds and loved to travel south in the winter.
Mildred is survived by her sons, Michael (Pam) of Milo, Gregory of Indianola, and Kendall of Des Moines, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mildred’s name to Bondurant American Legion Post 396.
