Linda Sue Eckert

Linda Sue (Jines) Eckert passed away on September 21, 2011.

Services are scheduled for Sunday, September 25th at Community United Presbyterian Church in Hartford, Iowa. Visitation is scheduled from 1pm-3pm with services immediately following visitation. Burial to be October 1, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dahlgren, IL.

Linda is survived by her husband Steve Eckert Sr., her two sons and several grandchildren: Chuck Eckert (Gloria), Carolina, Cheyenne, Callie and Steve Eckert Jr. (Sophia), Casey and Jordyn. Linda is also survived by her siblings: Roy (Dixie) Jines, Ruby Phillips, Clara (Dick) Dixon, Donna (Larry) Yeager, Barb (Bruce) Lynam. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Dewey and Sylvia Fern Jines, Sister Maxine Johnopolos; Brothers; Jasper Dewey Jines Jr, Jack Ward Jines and Michael Ray Jines.

Linda Eckert, the daughter of Dewey and Sylvia Fern Jines was born October 16, 1947 in Dahlgren, IL. She graduated from Dahlgren High School in 1965 and Painter's College of Beauty (Roy, Utah) in 1966.

Linda married Steve in 1966 and moved to Adel, IA. They eventually moved to Dallas Center and then to Hartford, IA where they raised two boys( Chuck and Steve Jr.).

Linda worked many years at the Iowa State Fair where she gained many friends. Linda was also a member of the Hartford Fire Department.
