LeRoy Albert Bartsch, 83, passed away June 23, 2020 in Princeton, Missouri. A visitation will be held at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, Iowa on June 27, 2020 from 10:30am-12:30pm. A luncheon will be held immediately following visitation at Eagles Lodge on 6567 Bloomfield Road in Des Moines. A burial of ashes with military honors performed by the United States Air Force will take place July 1, 2020 at 12:30pm at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa. \r\nLeroy was born in St. Charles Minnesota on January 4, 1937 to Delmer and Dorothy (Cocker) Bartsch. At 18, LeRoy joined the United States Air Force. He drove a truck for numerous companies for the duration of his career. He loved to fish, watch football and baseball, and have a beer with friends. LeRoy had an amazing personality and was loved by many. \r\nHe is survived by his wife of 41 years, Melody Bartsch, his seven children; Diane Stegen of Minnesota, Brenda Jenkins of Eldora, Chris Bartsch of Marshalltown, Julie Hilfich of Mason City, Kelly (Chris) Weis of Des Moines, Bryan (Rose) Bartsch of Eldora, and Tim Bartsch of Eldora. LeRoy was survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends. \r\nMemorial can be made in LeRoy's name to Pearls II Eden for Elders 611 N. College St. Princeton, Missouri.
