Ackworth, Iowa
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a truly remarkable man, Kirk "Corky" Gordon Boucher, born on November 21, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa. A man of faith, Kirk was baptized at the First Assembly of God in Indianola, Iowa. Kirk, known for his dedication and reliability, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many. His vibrant personality and humorous nature touched the lives of everyone he met. He was always ready with a joke or a funny remark, lighting up every room he entered.
Kirk was a proud lifelong resident of Iowa, living his later years in Sandyville. He graduated high school and spent most of his professional life at Carroll Auto Wrecking and Jim Phillips Auto Salvage in Sandyville, Iowa. Retiring in 2022, Kirk found joy in his hobbies of landscaping and being an auto enthusiast. He also had a passionate love for Hawkeye Basketball and Football. But what mattered most to Kirk were his loved ones, particularly his wife Teresa Boucher, his children James, Corky Ray, Sandy and his daughter in law Misty Boucher, and his grandchildren Donnelly, Seamus, Elizabeth, Corky Lee, Toby, Finnegan, Rawley, Ruby and Kasper and his dogs Merry, Alyson, Clarice and Sugar. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lavon Boucher, his legacy will continue to live on through his family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, 16 Apr 2025 at 3:00 pm CDT at Peterson Funeral Home, 602 East Salem Avenue, Indianola, Iowa, 50125, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 5:00 pm CDT. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4. May this verse from the Bible bring comfort to all who mourn Kirk's passing.
