He was a lifetime member of the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Union. He taught an apprenticeship class for tradesman. Work ethic and mentorship was very valuable to Ken. He was always very caring to make sure that his apprentices learned as much about real world experiences as possible. Ken was known for being punctual and he expected the same of others, especially his kids. His children knew that when Dad whistled it was time to head home. Upon retirement, Ken had many different things he enjoyed doing to occupy his time. He loved golfing, watching Wheel of Fortune, and doing his crossword puzzles. Getting a boat on the water and camping were also favorites of Ken's. He was known to sit in his recliner relaxing, drinking his two daily beers, except for Sundays. Ken had a great sense of humor, and waking up deciding what humorous t-shirt he would wear that day was a joy of his. Above all else, Ken loved spending time with his family. He truly enjoyed being with his children and many grandchildren. Watching his grandchildren's many activities was something he loved doing. \r\nKen is survived by his wife Linda, children; Mike (Jo) Vesey of Indianola, Pat (Denny) Morgan of New Virginia, Linda (Karey) Samson of Norwalk, Mike (Heny)Schipper of Coconut Creek Florida, and Rich (Wendy) Schipper of Kansas City Missouri.
