Kayne Trenton Ruiz, 19, of Des Moines passed away on November 7, 2021. Funeral services for Kayne will take place at 3:00pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will begin at 1:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. \r\nKayne was born on February 8, 2002 in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Carlisle High School. Kayne was employed with Vintage Love Rentals for the past five years working as a wedding planner. Since childhood, Kayne was always an adventurous soul. He loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing or just enjoying time with friends or family. He loved animals, especially his pet alligator, Nip. When he was growing up he always carried around a survival kit just to be prepared for anything that came his way. His time with his siblings was precious to him. He loved being with them and making them laugh. Whether it was impressing them with a fearless jump off the roof of the shed or a night of family fun in their Christmas pajamas, Kayne always made sure that family took precedent above all else. Kayne was loyal and trusting person with a big heart. People were drawn to his loving and caring personality. He was known for his ability to always see the good in people. He will be dearly missed by many who knew of his kindness and ability to bring comfort to those around him. \r\nKayne is survived by his parents Crystal (Cody Thomas) Mwalongo and Freddy (Jackie Rwelamira) Mwalongo; brothers, Keegen Ruiz, Kristian Ruiz-Mwalongo, Wyatt Thomas, and Marco Ruiz; sisters, Kaylee Ruiz, Bayleigh Thomas, Janaya Mwalongo, Lillyan Ruiz-Thomas, and Jenelle Mwalongo; grandparents, Chuck and Cindy Thomas; and his girlfriend Lillie Haman. \r\nKayne was preceded in death by his grandparents Marce and Mary Ruiz.\r\nMemorials in Kayne's name can be made to the family.
