John Curtis Teeter, 62, of Des Moines, passed away on January 23, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Walnut Creek Church-Downtown, located at 323 E. Locust St. in Des Moines. Burial will take place immediately following services at Avon Cemetery. A luncheon will be held following the service at Walnut Creek Church- Downtown. John was a member of Walnut Creek Church South where he loved to make every person feel like the most important person in the world. He loved Jesus more than anything else in his life. If you met him, you knew about his love for Jesus, because he told you about it and even wanted to know what you thought. John excelled at loving people and his favorite ways to show it was by serving them, feeding them Classic Frozen Custard, and spending time with the many kids who loved him too. He married his great love Linda on April 24, 2021. \r\nJohn is survived by his wife, Linda; his mother, his sister and her family, his brother and his family, one son and one daughter, two step-daughters and seven grandchildren.\r\nJohn was preceded in death by his father and one daughter.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to Walnut Creek Church-South.
