Kenny Hook passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Carlisle, Iowa. A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will take place at 10:00am prior to the service. There will be a luncheon following services.

Kenny was born on April 26, 1959 in Kittery, Maine to James and Jackie (Stotts) Hook. He was a hard-working and dedicated employee of General Mills, recently retiring after over 40 years of service. An avid golfer, Kenny could often be found with his best friends at Pleasantville Country Club. They would usually finish up the day with a cold drink at Stadium View in Carlisle, where he had a special seat next to his closest friends. Kenny was a devoted Iowa State and Dallas Cowboys fan and he certainly didn't mind seeing the Hawkeyes lose. He was especially proud of his Green Jacket that he won in the Master's Pool in 2017. While not golfing or spending time with his friends and family, Kenny could be found at home watching a good movie or putting together a puzzle which he would occasionally frame and gift to a friend. He cherished life and he made sure that he did what he loved with the people he loved. Kenny had a loving way about him that will be missed by countless people who had the joy of being in his life.

Kenny was survived by his parents; son, Jamie; sister, Cheryl (Terry) Yanske, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and very dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda "Moose" Hook and his grandparents.

The family kindly requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kiya Koda in Indianola or the Alpha-1 Foundation. The family would also request that you dress casually and if you're an Iowa State fan to please wear their colors.
