Jerry Roger Bugge

Jerry Roger Bugge passed away on February 28, 2022 in Indianola, Iowa. Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will take place at 10:30 AM prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
Jerry was born on October 8, 1947 in Carroll, Iowa to Elmer and Norma (Savage) Bugge. He attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for the State of Iowa for many years as a social worker. Jerry was a man who loved his family and was certainly proud to be a grandpa. Jerry and Teresa were huge fans of Polka music, and were members of the Polka Club of Iowa, with Jerry serving time as the president of the club. He loved the Iowa State Fair and always made sure to eat all of his favorite foods each time he went. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Teresa; children, Kevin (Amber) Bugge of Brookfield Connecticut and Andrew Bugge of Carlisle, Iowa; grandchildren Kaitlynn Bugge, Madyson Bugge, Regan Bugge, Damien Bugge, Olivia Bugge, and Alessa Bugge; a great-grandson, Zyair Lee; brother, Craig (Josett) Bugge of Lubbock, Texas; nephews, Zach Bugge and Derek (Christy) Bugge; and their children Ambry Bugge.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Jason Bugge.
Memorials in Jerry's name can be made to Polka Club of Iowa or the Iowa State Fair.
