Frederick Ocheltree Obituary (1940 - 2023)

Frederick (Fritz) Morris Ocheltree was born to Evert and Dorothy Ocheltree on July 2nd, 1940 in Sacramento, CA and sadly passed away at his home on June 11, 2023 after a battle with ALS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evert and Dorothy Ocheltree, Brother Donald Ocheltree, Wife Carolyn A. Ocheltree and Grandson Leslie M. Grant. He is survived by daughters Treasure (Michael) Steffes of Council Bluffs, Judy Ocheltree of Des Moines, sons Timothy E. (Christina) Ocheltree of New Virginia and Vencent L. (Rhonda) Grant of New Virginia ,15 grandchildren, a small village of great grandchildren and numerous family and friends. Fritz was not only a truck driver for over 30 years of his life but he proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. During his time in this world he was also a teacher, an electrician, and numerous other side jobs. He never stopped. He loved working with his hands, teaching his kids and grandchildren anything and everything they wanted to learn. But more than anything, he wanted to teach them the skills they needed to survive in this world. He loved plumbing, heating and electricity, learning new things and had a zest for life itself until the very end. He will be missed dearly by all who loved and ever met him.
