Eugene W. Evans Obituary (1965 - 2009)

EUGENE WILLIAM EVANS Indianola Eugene William Evans (Gene or Geno), age 43, passed away on June 19, 2009, after a courageous battle with malignant melanoma and lung cancer. Gene is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jennifer; sons, Anthony (14) and Zachary (11), of Indianola; as well as many other family members and friends. Visitation will be at Peterson's Funeral Home, 415 School St, Carlisle, IA, from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 23. The memorial service will begin at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, June 24, also at Peterson's Funeral Home in Carlisle. You are encouraged to wear your Harley Davidson gear or, if you don't have any, please come casual and comfortable. If you have a motorcycle, feel free to ride it to the memorial service in honor of Gene. A potluck will follow the memorial service. Friends and family are encouraged to write a story about Gene or share a story about him during either the visitation or the memorial service. One of Gene's greatest wishes was to help spread awareness on skin cancer. Please have suspicious moles/marks checked by a physician/dermatologist as soon as possible.
