Ernest Lorn Beck

Ernest Beck Passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Pleasant Care Living Center in Pleasantville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Visitation with the family will be held from 6-8 pm. Wednesday the evening prior. Burial with military honors will be in the Pleasantville Cemetery. Ernie was the son of Howard and Zoah Griswold. Ernie worked maintenance for Iowa Packing and Armstrong Tire. Ernie served in the United States Navy in WWII as a Carpenters Mate 2nd Class with the Seabees and was a 50 year member of the American Legion. Ernie is survived by 4 Daughters: Toni(Dale) Collins of Pleasantville, Jacque(John) Shung of Pleasantville, Pam Hoffman of Arlington, TX., Rosalie(Bob) Ranshaw of Commerce City, CO.; Sister Alma Town of Milo and a sister in law Wilma Kennedy of Milo; Grandchildren Andy Hayes (Amanda Scott), Heather(Jon) Goode, Signe(Ed) Goodman, Ian(Lori) Ranshaw, Shanna(Kris) Gibson, Aaron, Scott and Cory Shung: Great Grandchildren Peyton and Piper Goode, Addison Ranshaw, Mason Hayes, Shaden Gibson, Bryton and Clayton Goodman, also Joey and Jake Samperi. Ernest was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Fern. Memorials may be given to HCI Care Services.
