Edythe Powell \nAnne was born in Lineville, IA February 20, 1928 to Izola and Guy Painter. She moved to Des Moines after her father's passing. She attended Tech High School then attended Drake to study nursing. She was married to Jack Powell, June 12, 1947; once married she became a dedicated mother and house wife. After her children had grown she worked at Katz Drugstore and then Northwest Bell Telephone, until she retired. After retirement her and Jack become snow birds and spent the summers in Garrison, MN and winters down south. Anne passed away July 15, 2011, of natural causes in Lawton, OK. and will be cremated. \nShe was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Jack and Sons, Dean and Guy Powell. She is survived by Daughter Katherine Jane Powell-Hunt and her husband Jack Hunt of Indiahoma, OK; Son Donald Powell and wife Juanita of Des Moines and Daughter in law Joan Powell of Des Moines; grandchildren, Jeremy Shoning, Mark Bierman, Tina Powell, Samantha Powell and D.J Powell and several great grandchildren. \nA grave side service and visitation will be held at Glendale Cemetery, Wednesday July 20.
