Delores Colburn

Kaye Delores Colburn, 82 of Des Moines, Iowa, passed into Paradise Monday, August 12, 2013 at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, Iowa. Kaye was born to Everett House and Ethel Lorraine Putney on November 21, 1930 in Desoto , Iowa . Kaye was raised in Knoxville and Des Moines , Iowa . She graduated from North High in January 1949. She was employed by, WT Grant and Co, Bell telephone company and retired from there . In between she raised three boys and kept books at Don Hay Sales. She spent the last 25 years in Scottsdale, Arizona, enjoying dancing ,knitting, and playing with her cat, Twiggy. She returned to the Des Moines area in 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, Everett House, brother, Harold, Sister, Virginia, mother, Ethel, and oldest son, Danny of Mesa , AZ. She is survived by her sons, David Lawrence Hay, and Chris (Margo) Allan Hay of Des Moines , six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
