Dean Peters, Obituary (1942 - 2012)

Mr. Larry Dean Peters Sr, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at his home here in Indianola. Larry was born in Saratoga, Iowa, served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam, serving with the 82nd Airborne, and has lived in Indianola for many years running an appliance repair business. He was a member of American Legion Post # 165 in Indianola, was the current Noble Grand of I.O.O.F. Lodge #70.Preceding in death were his parents, George and Mildred Peters; brother George and son Larry Dean Jr.Larry is survived by his wife, Marilynn; a daughter, Madalyn (John) Anderson; four sons, Kelly Peters, Ray VanZanten, Rick (Teesha) Peters and Sam Peters, a sister Marian Marvin; a brother, Kenneth (Mary) Peters; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Peterson Funeral Home here in Indianola. Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral.
