Claudia Sheree Hood

Claudia Sheree Hood passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023, in Altoona, Iowa. Funeral services for Sheree will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will begin at 10:00am prior to the service. Immediately following services, lunch will be served prior to interment which will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.
Sheree was born on September 22, 1939, in Marion County, Iowa to Oddie and Alice (Worthington) Bonnett. She worked for Hyzer Brokerage for many years as an office manager. She made many life-long friends in her time there. Sheree was so full of life. She was always looking for the next fun thing to do. Whether it was riding and showing horses, or taking a trip to one of her favorite destinations. Hawaii, Colorado, Jamaica, and Las Vegas were just a few place she enjoyed visiting. Above all else, Sheree enjoyed her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Sheree is survived by her children, Sherry L. (Craig) Bruxvoort and Robert S.(Cheryl) Swain; grandchildren, Ash Bruxvoort (Marti Payseur), Marcus Swain, and Tyler ( Lacey) Swain; and great-grandchildren, Levi Swain and Breckyn Swain.
Sheree was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel Hood; Sherry and Robert’s father, Bobby Swain; a brother, Terry VanRees; and father, Buck VanRees.
