Carol Bohannon

Carol Ann Bohannon passed away on November 4, 2025, 2025, at Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa. Carol was born on September 19, 1947, to Clifford and Lorene (Dyer) Hunsinger.

She was born in Yuma, Arizona and grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
She married Charles Bohannon and raised a family in California, Lebanon, and Texas before moving to Carlisle, Iowa in 2002. She worked various housekeeping jobs throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and dogs.
She has lived at the Rose of Des Moines assisted living community since 2019. There she enjoyed time with friends and participating in activities.

Carol is survived by her sons; Shane Bohannon (wife Alexandra Bohannon) of San Antonio, Texas, and Clifford Bohannon of Tow, Texas; daughter, Laura Timmins (husband Jason Timmins) of Carlisle, Iowa, and eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Barbara Bohannon, and her ex-husband Charles.

Memorials for Carol may be made to the Carlisle, Iowa Fire and Rescue.
