Bobby Shane O'Riley, 68, of Chariton, Iowa passed away March 21, 2020 at the Circle of Life Hospice Lodge in Chariton. Bob was born November 18, 1951 in Turlock CA. He graduated from San Marin High School in Novato, CA and Heald College in San Francisco with a degree in Accounting. In California Bob was the owner of two successful businesses, PFC Welding & Design and R S Construction which specialized in structural steel and welding. Passionate about cooking, woodworking, motorcycles, fast cars and especially the open road, Bob relocated to Chariton in 2000 where he was the owner of O'Riley Trucking and later drove for Hirschbach Trucking Company.\r\n\r\n"Journeys end in lovers meeting."-- William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night\r\n\r\nBob O'Riley met Susan Dennis in high school and they quickly became close friends. After high school their journeys took different paths until, after 45 years, they once again found one another, fell in love and married in November 2015. Their last years together were lives lived to the fullest, traveling throughout the U.S. and fulfilling their life-long dream, visiting France. \r\n\r\nBob was preceded in death by his parents Bobby Keller O'Riley and Norma Lee O'Riley.\r\nBob is survived by his wife Susan, son Ryan, stepchildren Jarrod Fowler and Maren Fowler, Brothers Bill O'Riley (Vincetta) and Brad O'Riley and sister Shanna O'Riley (Cliff Cole).\r\n.\r\nA Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date as circumstances permit.\r\n\r\nIt was Bob's wish that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 220 N Western Ave, Chariton, IA 50049.
