'Bill' Hansen Obituary (1923 - 2013)

William 'Bill' Hansen of Carlisle, Iowa, age 89, passed away Thursday, April 4th. Born on August 17, 1923, Bill was a WW II veteran who served in the US Coast Guard aboard the USS Admiral Capps. Following his discharge from the Coast Guard in 1946, he worked at John Deere Des Moines Works as a machinist until he retired in 1983. Bill was a member of American Legion Post 391 and Masonic Lodge No. 83. His wife Alice Kibbey Hansen preceded him in death in 2010. He is survived by his three sons Andrew (his wife Cindy their son Eric and daughter Kate), James (his wife Diane their son David and daughter Brittany) and Perry. Services will be held Tuesday, April 9th at Peterson's Funeral Home in Carlisle with a visitation at 10am, funeral at 11 am followed by a luncheon at the Family Life Center.
