Betty M. Koethe Obituary (1923 - 2010)

BETTY MARIE KOETHE Chariton Betty passed away from this life to be with her heavenly father on Saturday September 11, 2010 at 5:15 p.m. at the Legacy Lodge in Chariton. Betty is survived by her three daughters; Sherry Chandler of Carlisle, Sue (Howard) Garnett of Des Moines and Anita Larrington of Chariton. She is also survived by her brother Harold Norris of Indianola and Don Norris of Des Moines; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Betty was a wonderful person who also enjoyed life to the fullest. Her husband Hank had preceded her in death in 1981. Betty worked as a school cook at Carlisle for over 30 years. She was also a supervisor at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Betty always had a kind word and shared her infectious smile with everyone. She knew no stranger. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday September 15, 2010 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, Iowa. Peterson Funeral Home Carlisle, Iowa
