Ashley was born in Hillsboro, Oregon on June 16, 2006, to Emily (Kyle) Nordyke and Kyle (Jamie) Carmin. She was an exceptional person in every way. Ashley’s creativity knew no bounds. She was always finding new and creative things to learn, even teaching herself how to paint and sew. Ashley also loved the arts. Whether it was listening to Harry Styles or attending a concert, music was something she loved. Not only did she love listening to music, she was cast in multiple plays and musicals in school. She loved golf, driving around, and also enjoyed working at the pool in the summer.
Ashley was a kind soul whose ability to care about others made an impact on countless lives. Her kindness and generosity had no limits and will not be forgotten. Ashley loved her family so deeply, and especially loved being a sister. Whether it was teaching or mentoring the younger children, she never complained about being the oldest. She cherished her family and the role she played. Ashley is a devoted follower of Jesus and loves him very much to this day.
Ashley is survived by her parents; brothers, Pryer Carmin, Mason Carmin, Vincent Nordyke, and Aaron Nordyke; sister, Savannah Stephens; grandparents, Penni Carmin, Bruce and Kerry Brown, and Brian and Cheryl Nordyke; and great-grandmothers, Judy Ray and Bonnie Childs.
Ashley was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Rosemary Nordyke.
