Arthur Junior Pearson

Arthur J. Pearson, 88, passed away July 10, 2018 in his home at Angus Ave. Perry, Iowa. Arthur was born July 7, 1930 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Arthur and Edith Pearson.
Arthur loved to spend time with his family, working outside and enjoyed taking care of all their animals. He loved to work with his hands and make all kinds of crafty stuff like wood work as in boats, cars, covered wagons, airplanes, outdoor yard ornaments like reindeer, and sleighs. He also spent many hours working on word search puzzles. He liked to tinker with cars to fix them up and a few people called him carburetor Art if you need something fixed just give him some chicken wire and duct tape and he would get it fixed for you.
Arthur is survived by his wife Shirley and their five children; Bill (Doris) Pearson of Front Royal, Virginia; Becky Freeman of Perry, Rhonda (Terry) Harwood of Redfield, Richard (Diane) Pearson of Rippey, and Cindy Dahl of Rippey. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Joshua (Arissa), Jessica (Kris), Elijah, Rodney, Kelly, Daniel (Molly), Ted (Robyn), Jed (Phalyn), Nick, Heather (Shawn), Brian, Jared (Kaitlin), Carrie (Jacob), and Katie (Bill). Arthur also is survived by his 29 great-grandchildren: Levi, Noah, Micah, Jonah, Eden, Jackie (Shawn), Wade, Brandon, Dillon, Maddie, Lilly, Delaney, Joseph, Reagan, Dalton, Alivia, Owen, Maddilynn, Cody, Skylar, Aryanna, Matthew, Xzavier, Samual, Madison, Ayden, Kylie, Cash, and Paisley, Sister Viola Brown.
Arthur was preceded in death by his father Arthur Pearson, mother Edith Pearson and son Glenn Pearson and his 6 brothers Clarence Pearson, William Pearson, Donald Pearson, Melvin Pearson, Albert Pearson, Kenneth Pearson and 4 sisters Velma Moorhead, Agnes Miller, Alma Collins, and Ruth Pearson.
Funeral Service for Arthur will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 am, at the Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Powers Warren Cemetery in Runnells Iowa. A luncheon will follow at 3pm at the Rippey Iowa Community Building.
